Pricing and setup

How much does Nimbo Stay cost?

It is free to start, with no setup fee. You then pay a share of each booking: 1.5% for sites under 40 pitches, 1.25% for 40 to 70 and 1% over 70, with a minimum of £1 a booking and no yearly cap. Many sites take it as a small booking fee on the guest’s deposit instead, so it costs them nothing. A pre-arranged monthly subscription is available instead if you prefer.

Pricing in full →
Do my guests pay anything extra?

No. The fee is paid by you from the deposit, so your guests’ prices do not change. Card fees are the usual ones from your own Stripe account.

Is the AI an extra cost?

No. Every AI job is included in the price, with no extra charge.

The AI assistant →
How long does it take to get started?

Your account can usually be open the same day. AI reads your current website and fills in your accommodation, prices, opening dates and terms for you to check, and a short Getting started list takes you through the rest. Your booking page is tested before you go live.

Quick to start →
Can I bring my existing bookings across from another system?

Yes. Upload the export from your old system and AI works out the columns, so nothing is typed in twice. Guests brought across sign in with a link we email them, so there is no password to remember.

Do I need to install anything or buy hardware?

No. Nimbo Stay runs in your web browser. The only hardware you may want is a camera if you choose to use number plate recognition.

Bookings and payments

Can guests choose their own pitch?

Yes. Guests pick dates, pitch type and the exact pitch they want from a list or your site map, and only see pitches that fit their unit, its length and their hook-up needs.

Online booking →
How do deposits and balances work?

Guests pay a deposit by card when they book, with the deposit rule spelled out before they pay. The balance can be taken by itself on the due date if they tick the box, with a reminder 3 days before, or paid from an emailed link. Deposits can be a percentage, a fixed amount or the first night, with a minimum and a maximum.

Which payment provider do you use?

Stripe. Card payments go to your own Stripe account, and card details go straight to Stripe and never touch Nimbo Stay.

Can I set minimum stays for bank holidays?

Yes. You can set a minimum stay for any arrival day on a calendar, with bank holidays marked so the busy weekends are easy to find. You can also hold busy weeks for your regulars, and a short stay that runs into a held week is not allowed either.

Can it stop other booking sites double-booking a pitch?

Yes. Two-way calendar sync with other booking channels keeps them from double-booking a pitch. Calendar feeds go in and out of Nimbo Stay.

Features

Is there a guest and staff app?

Yes. It carries your own name, logo and colours and is installed from your own website: open it on a phone and add it to the home screen. There is no app store and no store fees.

Guest and staff app →
Does it support campsite number plate recognition (ANPR)?

Yes. A camera at the entrance reads each plate, which is matched to its booking and highlights that guest on today’s Arrivals list. Every read is logged, and cars on no booking are marked Unmatched. It works with a camera that can read plates, or an ordinary IP camera with free plate-reading software such as Frigate.

Number plate cameras →
Can it bill static caravan owners’ pitch fees?

Yes. You can raise everyone’s yearly pitch fee in one go, enter electric and gas readings on one screen and have each owner’s bill worked out, and owners pay by card from an emailed link.

Static caravan pitch fee billing →
Can I track staff hours and cleaning jobs?

Yes. Staff clock on from their own phones, a cleaning board builds from your bookings, and you can see everyone’s hours and pay by week, month or season and export it for your accountant.

Staff, cleaning and timesheets →
Does the AI send emails to my guests by itself?

No. It writes the reply and you check it and press Send. The reply goes from your own address, in the same email thread. When it does a desk job it tells you what it will change and waits for you to press Confirm. It cannot cancel, refund or delete.

Can I have a website made in Nimbo Stay?

Yes. Pick from six designs, answer a few questions and AI writes every page. Your seasons, offers and whether you are taking bookings update on the website by themselves, and you can use your own web address.

Data and safety

How is my data backed up?

Every change is copied to a separate backup machine within about a second, and we can put your site back to any moment. The backup machine keeps hourly snapshots for 30 days, a full backup is taken every night, and each night every site is restored from backup and compared with the live system.

Security and backups →
Is my guests’ data kept separate from other sites?

Yes. Each business has its own separate database, so nobody else’s data can mix with yours.
